Summer summer summer time!!!

Phew!!!!  This summer has been a busy one!  I wouldn't have it any other way.  The days are long & the nights are short...so much to do!  The kids are having a blast & so are Joe & I.

We got 6 Flags Great America season passes this year.  It's actually been fun.  I like to have a pass because then I can just take them for a few hours and go home.  There is nothing worse than spending an entire day there.  I'm sure the kids would love it, but me...notosmuch!  :)  One of these days we need to get out to the water park.  I'm not brave enough to take all 4 kiddos alone.  Maybe if the girls were older...
 Friday night Joe & I went to Coasters After Dark.  Twice during the season they offer a late night (until midnight) for season pass holders to come and ride the rides.  We rode Superman, The Eagle, V2, and Raging Bull.  It was so fun, until the ride home.  Both of us ended up getting sick!  I couldn't believe it...we must be getting old!

Saturday was girls night.  I went with Shelly, Kristi, and Cassy to a Will Hoge concert.  We have all been hearing about Will, from Kristi, for years!!  She says he is her future husband!  :o)  Anyway, it was a great time with my girlies!!  We had dinner first & just a lot of fun talking and laughing and people watching!!  Will was great too!  I would even go to another concert!! 

Father's Day weekend was a good one.  We were bad and skipped church so we could go out for breakfast.  After we ate we went for a walk.  It couldn't have been more beautiful there at the lakefront.  The air was warm, but there was a gorgeous breeze blowing.  We had a great time just being us!!  After all of that we came home to give the girls a nap.  Then the rest of the evening was spent with our dad's here.  First we went to visit Carlton.  We had dessert with him & then proceeded to visit Terry & eat dinner.  Yes, we did it backwards, but it worked! 

This coming weekend is FLORIDA!!!!  My dad & I are going to Tampa for my cousin Tommy's wedding.  I have never done a trip like this with my dad so I am really looking forward to it!!  I will even get to spend his birthday with him!  It seems a little weird that I am going on a trip like this without my husband, but I am so thankful to be married to a guy that can hold down the fort and will let me do this!  I'm still counting down the days though...3 more sleeps!!! YAY!!

Oh and one other thing...we booked our Pigeon Forge, TN vacation!!!   Now that it is actually booked I am SUPER excited!!!  We haven't take a vacation like this, just the 6 of us, in years!!  I am really looking forward to it.  It is fun to travel with other people, but I like the idea of doing whatever we want, when we want to, at our own pace!  FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!
