The Christian meaning to the Easter egg. Most people know that it is a symbol of the Resurrection of Christ just as the chick breaks the shell when it is hatched and begins its life, so Christ comes forth living from the apparently lifeless tomb. I was sort of suprised to see that there is a christian meaning behind an Easter Egg. I think it is another good opportunity to talk to my kids about Easter, and its meaning! They really seem to know what Easter is all about, but a little reinforcemnet is always good!!
Easter is such an exciting time to learn about God, for a child!! This is what we did this afternoon to celebrate Christ dying for our sins & then rising again!
