Today has been a great day!! Norah is becoming Norah again.  She is happy, smiley & sassy again.  I love it!!

We have a new medicine routine again.  She is now on 2 blood pressure medicines.  One is the amlodipine that she was on, and the other is called captopril.  It is not only a blood pressure medicine, but it is also for the heart. It help to slow the heart rate down as well as help the heart while it is in theresting phase of the beat.  She is tolerating them well. 

Tonight, the burse went to give her her IV lasix(diuretic), and the IV was bad.  It must have clotted off, since this morning.  The nuse then took it out & she was started on oral lasix.  YAY!!  Norah did not like it, but she kept it down.  Hopefully, it works as well...we'll see.

Her puffiness seems to be going down bit by bit.  She actually, had more fluid out than in today, so yippee!!!  Pray for us, that that trend continues until she is where she needs to be!



Coming soon...an educational post on Atypical HUS (familial type) so no confusion is there!!  I've heard a couple of things that are absolutely not true, so I thought this would be a good idea!!
