We just wanna go home...

but it ain't happenin' today.  :o( 

Things are not horrible, with Norah, but she needs some extra help to get things moving along.  Her platelets continue to go up, they are at 221.  That is a good sign, but her kidneys are just not doing what they need to do.  Unfortunately, they had to start a new IV today.  She is getting IV albumin and then IV lasix.  The albumin helps to pull the fluids from the places it doesn't belong, and puts it back into the blood stream.  The lasix will then help her to pee it out.  Here's hoping and praying it works. 

Along with blood work, they also did a chest x-ray.  The x-ray shows some pleural effusion (fluid) in her lower left lung.  Due to that her respiratory rate is up.  By doing the IV albumin and lasix that should all go away.

So today, we are back to being stuck in the room.  Poor baby keeps saying "fishy."  She just wants to go downstairs and look at the fish in the tank by the lobby.  Hopefully tomorrow...
