American Girl(s)

What a fun day!!  Yesterday we (my mom, Wanda, Meghan, Char, Rowan, Norah, and I) headed to Chicago for the day.  We took the train and had lunch at the American Girl Store.  So cute and so fun!  The lunch was just so girly!!  It started off with the little warm cinnamon rolls.  Then we got a fruit/veggie tray with everything cut so pretty.  There were fancy cut carrots, and cucumber, the strawberries were on skewers with little colby cheese wedges.  Then little pretzels stuffed with cheese.  YUM!  Next was our meal.  I had the most delicious chicken salad I have ever had.  The girls lunch was really cute with mini hotdogs, burgers & tiny bowls of macaroni and cheese along with a fruit skewer.  All of us enjoyed our meal.  Finally there was dessert.  We got a cup of dirt (chocolate mousse with cookie crumbles), a mini heart shaped angel food cake & then a heart sugar cookie.   Norah wouldn't eat the cup of dirt.  I could not convince her that it was chocolate mousse & cookies.  HA!!

After we ate we had to shop!!  Talk about fun!!  The girls got spoiled, BIG TIME!!  They did have their own money too.  Rowan got some cute outfits for her doll.  She likes the outfits that come with stuff; the skateboard outfit, the cheerleader outfit, the hair curling set, etc.  She wants her doll to have cute clothes, but do fun things in them!!  HA!!  Norah likes the "Stuff" for her baby.  She didn't care about clothes.  She wanted the crib, the baby bath, the booster seat, the diaper bag, etc.  I did convince her to pick out one outfit though.  She is still complaining that she didn't get that carrier, back pack & stroller though.  She doesn't understand "Maybe for your birthday."  HA!!

They have played, non stop, with all of their goods since we walked in the door!!  Money well spent!!!

Blogger is being dumb, so I can't post pics.  I will try again later!

Oh, and if you have a little girl you MUST go the American Girl at least once!!  You won't regret it.  Yes, it is pricey, but so worth it!  We have already decided that this will be a yearly thing!!!
